I am an architect, media manager, photographer and entrepreneur deeply invested in digital media, above all else, passionate about what I do. As an architect I completed, private residences, social housing and restorations projects in my native Puerto Rico. Keen on social media, I founded MyarchN five years ago and was an early adopter of Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and, more recently, Pinterest, 500px, and Summify. These are tools I use to consume and curate, to share content, filter information, and form meaningful relationships, with an underlying intention of growing MyarchN. My focus on the bottom line, however, includes a commitment to sharing my knowledge for the sake of shaping a better world.
I am an experienced editor with a passion for the written word. I have a bachelor’s in English and creative writing and am currently pursuing a PhD in English at Notre Dame. A certified proof reader, I have worked on a wide-range of texts, everything from resumes to poems to scholarly essays, and even a brochure for a mining company. Whatever the subject or genre, however, I bring the same tools to the table: an ability to detect and correct grammatical flaws; a talent for smoothing out style; and, most importantly, a commitment to making any piece of writing enjoyable to read.
I am an idea person. Innovation is what motivates my work. My goal is to connect and communicate via experiences, no matter what type of content or medium it takes: online, offline, multi-platform, off the grid. I started exploring social interactions 15 years ago via live events and convergent digital solutions. I am a writer, a multimedia creative, and a marketer with a vision for a meaningful life on earth.
My career started in the nineties as a Spanish News Reporter and Producer. In 1995, I was selected by Gabriel Garcia Marquez to study story telling directly with him in Colombia. In 1996 I moved to Barcelona, Spain, to study a Master in Interactive Telecommunications and Multimedia, to combine my passion for content creation with the infinite possibilities of digital media. Upon graduation, I started a company to create and produce new content forms and live events, the foundation that subsequently evolved into a highly successful career as corporate and entrepreneurial Interactive and Experiential Creative Director in New York and international markets. Throughout the years I've kept writing as contributing editor for a number of publications.
I am a media ninja with a Master's in Media Production & Management at The New School. My passion for storytelling is portrayed via the powers of video production and design, delivering web-focused digital campaigns to the always "connected" audience. My recent work included video production and media strategy for the Mega Media Showcase that gave students at The New School the opportunity to share their media works with classmates, faculty, alumni, family, friends, press and media professionals at an off-site venue in New York.
